Back by Popular Demand, braddock +purcell’s Residential Real Estate series Returns to the 92nd Street Y

NEW YORK, Sept. 26 /PRNewswire/ -- Back by popular demand after last fall's successful series, Kathy Braddock and Paul Purcell, partners at braddock + purcell, http://www.bandp.com, a residential real estate consultancy that connects consumers to highly vetted real estate professionals, announce the "Real Estate 101: Manhattan and Beyond" three-part series at the 92nd Street Y. Leading residential real estate authorities from competitive firms will join together to offer expert advice to help guide people about their single largest investment -- their homes. Kathy Braddock and Paul Purcell created this compelling and informative series, and the duo will moderate the seminars.

The first seminar, held at 8 p.m. on Thursday October 27th entitled "Making Sense of Manhattan Real Estate" features Alan Rogers, former chairman of Douglas Elliman, leading real-estate brokerage firm, Pamela Liebman, President and CEO of the Corcoran Group, the country's premier residential real estate company, and Jonathan Miller, president and co-founder of leading Manhattan real estate appraisal company Miller Samuel and the creator of the Manhattan Market Report. These experts will help explain New York's powerful real estate boom and if the growth will continue, when is the right time to buy or sell, and where the emerging growth markets lie.

braddock + purcell's second seminar, held at 8 p.m. on Thursday November 10th entitled "City or Suburbs?" offers insight to New Yorkers who are struggling over the complex issue of whether or not to move out. Thousands of New Yorkers, faced with growing families, private versus public schools, cramped living quarters and other quality-of-life issues struggle with the question of whether or not to leave the city, and then, where to go. Highlighting financial, lifestyle and education elements, braddock + purcell's panel of experts, including Clara Hemphill, director of InsideSchools.org and author of numerous books on public schools in New York; Michelle Ascher Dunn, Daily News columnist and New York-based psychoanalyst and Daryl Gurian Stern, mother of two school age girls whose life is a virtual five year case study of city vs. suburbs, will help put the pieces of this "need-to-know" puzzle together.

The third and final seminar, entitled "Investing in the Second-Home Boom," held Thursday December 8th at 8 p.m., offers insight to baby boomers who were burned in the stock market who are now eager to invest in second homes. Panel experts include Adriane G. Berg, a lawyer, radio host and the author of How Not To Go Broke at 102! Achieving Everlasting Wealth, Shaun Van Vliet, a first vice president and senior financial advisor with the RVH Group at Merrill Lynch and Michael Shvo, the founder of The Shvo Group and is one of New York's most successful real estate brokers.

"By presenting top-tier experts from leading firms to present critical thinking and expertise on the challenging residential real estate market, we help New Yorkers navigate the largest financial decision of their lives," said Kathy Braddock, partner at braddock + purcell.

Paul Purcell, partner, braddock + purcell and former president of Douglas Elliman, adds that, "We are thrilled to be back at the 92nd Street Y which is the educational and cultural center of New York City. There's no better place for our residential real estate seminar series to be than at the Y whose mission is to enrich the lives of the divergent people who pass through its doors."

Tickets, available for $25 per individual seminar or $65 for the entire three part series, are available at the 92nd Street Y at http://www.92Y.org.
