Housing price trend indicators and sales
activity on Long Island moved higher as
inventory slipped. There were 7,658 sales,
up 13.4% from the prior year quarter and the
highest quarterly total in more than 12 years.
Pending sales, signed contracts that have not
yet closed, jumped 20.5% to 6,699 and listing
inventory slipped 2.8% to 16,056 respectively
from the prior year quarter. As a result of
