Westchester sales volume remained heavy for the seventh consecutive quarter as listing inventory fell sharply. A significant part of the demand came from city renters and trade-up buyers priced out of their respective markets. The number of sales increased 11.2% to 1,824 from the year ago quarter and the most first quarter sales since at least 1982. Single-family sales represented 54.1% of county sales, and the highest first quarter total in a decade.
